Press Release
Zirndorf, 10 December 2019
As the successor to the successful Metz mecastudio BL series, the new SL se-ries is equipped with a wireless module that can be triggered wirelessly via the Studio Trigger ST-1. The new studio flashes can thus be conveniently con-trolled.
Zirndorf – Familiar Metz quality and practical handling: For budget-conscious studio photographers and beginners, Metz mecatech offers a new series of studio flash units that can now be remotely triggered and adjusted: mecastudio SL200 and SL400. With the integrated radio module, the separately available Metz Studio Trigger ST-1 can be controlled, which has 16 channels and up to 15 meters effective radio range. Once set up, the setup can be easily checked and fine-tuned retroactively.
High performance and safe handling
The studio flashes feature very short flash repetition times and are available in the SL200 and SL400 versions - with a maximum output of 200 or 400 watt seconds. The clear LED display and large buttons ensure safe and easy handling of the flash heads. The flash tube and the lamp of the modeling light can be changed by the user.
Everything for your own studio
Due to the widespread Bowens bayonet connection, the studio flashes are compatible with the large selection of Metz studio accessories and can be equipped with softboxes, reflectors, snoots and other light shapers. Standard equipment with tripods, light shapers and transport bag are available to studio photographers with the studio kits in which the SL-200 or SL-400 studio flashes are available.
